The parish supports a large number of local, national and international charities. Amongst these are the organisations U.S.P.G., C.M.S. and Christian Aid. Each has an excellent web site:
USPG, an Anglican mission agency with a successful 300-year track record of enabling people to grow spiritually, to thrive physically and to have a voice in an unjust world. This is done in partnership with churches around the world, providing the resources - people, money and ideas - that they define as necessary to meet local needs. A particular project is supported and followed by the Parish - the Chilean house-building project.
CMS - Church Mission Society. A voluntary association of people rooted in the Anglican Communion who are united in obedience to Christ's command to fulfill his Great Commission. CMS has about 150 mission partners in 26 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Christian Aid is a Christian organisation that insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. They provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.
